Course Outline :
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.
No Pre-Requisites :
The Apply First Aid (formerly known as Senior First Aid) course is competency based training and does not require any previous training or qualification. Any can enroll in our course regardless of your level of experience.
Total Duration : 1 day
Method of Delivery : Face to Face
Day 1 : 1 day (6 hours)
Assessment Details :
All students are required to competently complete :
- Practical demonstration of first aid skills and knowledge
- Theory assessments including an incident report sheet and a multiple choice exam
Course Content :
- How to respond in an emergency situation
- How to communicate details of the incident with emergency response services and your supervisor or manager.
- Unconscious non-breathing person (CPR)
- Applications of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- How to apply first aid procedures for range of scenarios such as allergic reactions, asthma, burns, and many other similar situations.
